Tips of taking the perfect photo of your diamond ring

Taking a good photograph is a lot harder than most people think. Here are a few tips from our jewellers to ensure you can show off that beautiful sparkling new ring in style.

1. TheManicure

Having a manicure can work in your favour, it will help people notice your hands drawing further attention to the ring.

2. The Lighting – When it comes to taking a good photograph, lighting is key. Ensure that when you take the photograph the light it’s capturing the sparkle of the diamonds.

3.The Angle of the shot – The angle is another very important aspect. If you are trying to show the size or setting of the ring, try taking the photograph from the side. If you want to show all the details of the ring then take the photograph looking down on it.

4.The Backdrop – If you are on holiday or somewhere special. Why not hold you hand straight up showing the diamond ring with a backdrop of the view or landmark. It’s another way of remembering that special occasion and that special bond between two people. If it’s an engagement, perhaps you could have your partner in the background with a sign saying she said YES.

More and more people are now sharing these special events through the likes of social media whether that  is Facebook or Instagram. These are special moments that we want to treasure and share in real time with friends and family.
